This Position works Friday through Monday. Starting Rate: $26.62 Apprentice Mechanic $32.05 Skilled Mechanic (signed off by maintenance supervisor) $34.21 Certified Mechanic (signed off by maintenance supervisor + 1 Certification) $36.37 Master Mechanic (3 Certifications or more)

Position Summary A Maintenance Technician must be able to perform a wide range of duties related to maintaining the facility including: an ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and operating manuals; troubleshooting of electrical control circuits, mechanical and electrical systems; program PLC systems; knowledge of refrigeration systems; rebuilding and repairing pitters; welding and fabricating; ability to run the equipment and machines throughout the plant; and follow all safety procedures at all times.

Essential Functions Read and understand blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and operating manuals Troubleshoot electrical control circuits Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems Program PLC systems Have a working knowledge of refrigeration systems Perform or provide oversight to pitter rebuilds and repairs Ability to weld parts or structures Ability to fabricate parts, guards, etc. as needed Ability to run line equipment unassisted Ability to repair and install plumbing systems *Understand electrical components such as timers, relay, transformers, etc. oAbility to use these components in equipment redesign applications Be aware and follow all safety techniques (lockouts, bump caps, confined space, electrical safety, earplugs, forklift etc.) and consistently comply with all facility safety procedures Ability to work with and on compressed air systems, solenoids, air cylinders, piping, etc. Identify needs and work with purchasing on obtaining replacement parts Ability to train maintenance and operating personnel in proper procedures of equipment Ability to work flexible hours and maintain good attendance; work overtime as required Demonstrate consistent behavior indicating the capacity and willingness to function as an independent maintenance technician for the entire facility, needing only limited direction Accurate paperwork completion; maintain records/documentation as required Other tasks as assigned

Competencies and Certifications Required Internal GMP/HACCP/BRC Training Excellent communication skills Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment) Must pass respiratory fitness test *OSHA Forklift License
