GROWMARK FS is headquartered in Milford, Delaware with branches in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. GROWMARK FS has about 500 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 13,000 customers. The cooperative does business in seed, agronomy, energy, crop protection, precision agriculture, and custom application. GROWMARK FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Assists with the development and implementation of marketing plans, generating profitability and maximizing growth through key sales, operation, and marketing activities. SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP Supervises, leads and develops the assigned energy location sales, delivery and service personnel to successfully grow the company's business by providing leadership, setting performance expectations, providing feedback and actively maintaining performance management standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Ensures profitable sales growth of assigned territory through target marketing, competitive analysis, risk management, product procurement, and process implementation. Assists Energy Sales Reps on mid-to-large prospective sales calls and current key accounts. Oversees management of fixed assets, rolling stock and inventories through collaboration with location managers and operations managers. Collaborates with location managers to review operating costs and sales metrics, modifying sales, operations and inventory control programs to enhance profitable operations through improved efficiency. Responsible for ensuring assigned personnel comply with government regulatory requirements, safety standards and company policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring company credit policies and procedures are followed within assigned product sales team. Collaborates with agronomy personnel to promote cross-selling opportunities. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Recruits, selects, and retains quality personnel. Trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees to develop individual talents. Conducts and assists with training and development meetings for assigned personnel. Assists with the development of the company budget by forecasting sales volumes, projected margins and expense items. Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts. Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires an associate's degree in business or related area or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of business-related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate advanced marketing skills and sales leadership, supervise employees, generate profitable sales, build a repeat customer base, and gain market share. Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Will be required to travel independently and overnight. Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant. Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK energy division products and services. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable professional certifications associated with the agronomy or energy industry. Occasionally exposed or required to: o Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) o Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures o May be required to work at varying heights o Lif t 51 - 70 lbs. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
