Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support organizational growth. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles to manage the accounting team, streamline processes, and deliver accurate financial reporting. This is a contract-to-hire position and is hybrid after training.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with leadership.

Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Coordinate external audits and act as the primary point of contact with auditors and regulatory agencies.

Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, fostering professional development and team growth.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, workflows, and reporting accuracy.

Provide management with timely insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.

High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
