Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and engineering industry, is seeking a dedicated CAD Operator to join their team. As a CAD Operator, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting project development and production processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.

Job Title: CAD Operator

Location: Groton, Connecticut

Pay Range: $56000 - $62400

What's the Job?

Develop 3D CAD solid models and detailed 2D drawings to support manufacturing and product development.

Work closely with engineering, project managers, and production staff to translate concepts into practical designs.

Maintain and update bill of materials and related product data sheets for accuracy and consistency.

Interface with vendors to resolve design and fabrication issues, ensuring project timelines are met.

Assist in creating graphical details for operational instructions, manuals, and technical data sheets.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD modeling and drafting, preferably with AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or DraftSight, with CSWP SolidWorks Professional Certification preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet project deadlines efficiently.
