Cloud & Distributed Systems
Deep working knowledge of all aspects of cloud-native distributed systems development, with a preference for experience on OCI and AWS.
Hands-on experience building microservices and event-driven architectures, applying appropriate design patterns and software architecture best practices for scalability and disaster recovery.
Backend Development
Expert programmer in Java and web-based technologies within microservices infrastructure.
Strong experience building RESTful web services using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and JDBC.
Experience designing and developing APIs, including implementing GraphQL APIs and/or REST APIs.
Strong knowledge of SQL and RDBMS database design.
Frontend/UI/UX Development
Expert in web UI technologies such as Oracle JET, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML5, AngularJS, ReactJS, Knockout.js, and AJAX to meet functional specifications.
Capable of developing responsive UIs that work effectively across various screen sizes.
Experience building UX designs and proto@types to improve user experience during the design phase.
Proficient in translating concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and proto@types, leading to intuitive user experiences.
Able to identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, and Framer.
Automation, Testing & DevOps
Build and maintain automation systems for system health monitoring.
Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit, Java, JavaScript, Selenium, or similar testing frameworks.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Saltstack, Chef, and Puppet.
Build solutions for CI/CD automation and testing using tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Familiar with log-centric tooling, producing time-series data and reusable dashboards for monitoring both during and post-events.
General Practices
Rapid application development using agile methodologies.
Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in distributed software systems.
Responsibilities
Product & Architecture Strategy
Define and maintain architecture roadmap and technical solutions for new and existing product functionality.
Take ownership of the architectural qualities of end-to-end distributed applications.
Deliver architectural services, including guidance, conceptual design, and technical and process innovations.
Investigate the latest technologies and build quick Proof of Concept functionalities to address future business needs.
System Design & Technical Oversight
Design complex, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems; analyze trade-offs (timeliness, accuracy, resource usage) between algorithmic solutions to assess their impact on product outcomes.
Drive implementation of telemetry features based on domain requirements to improve operational excellence.
Drive automation by promoting further adoption and maturity in CICD stage gates for applications.
Software Development Process
Oversee the software development process end-to-end: analyze requirements, design system architecture, coordinate with other teams to prioritize and allocate tasks.
Ensure seamless integration and synchronization between various software components and modules.
Ensure coding best practices and industry standards are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
Build high-quality software by prioritizing quality control; collaborate with quality assurance to define test plans and strategies, ensuring thorough software testing.
Leadership, Delivery & Collaboration
Lead and mentor the engineering team, providing technical guidance, support, and expertise while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget by collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, estimate timelines, and identify potential risks and challenges.

Our organization follows a hybrid (remote and in-person) structure and employees are expected to work in office on specific days.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,800 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
