Warehouse Associate - Inventory Control

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job ID : JV-1554 Position Summary Responsible for tasks in relation to locating and counting inventory to maintain an organized and accurate inventory system. Expected to be able to perform all aspects of the job as described below in addition to the duties of Warehouse Associate 1, Warehouse Associate 2 and Warehouse Associate 3. Areas of Responsibilities Maintain accuracy of inventory in warehouse facilities. Understand warehousing practices, policies and procedures, including inbound, fulfillment and outbound flow of product throughout the facility. Meet production, quality, and accuracy levels as established by business unit. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment. Able to work independently. Perform all other duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions Perform cycle counts as necessary to verify physical inventory matches system. Create inventory locations as necessary. Rotate product with expiration dates. Process returns (re-stock or dispose). Investigate inventory discrepancies and take action to resolve. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Work extended hours, as required by operational needs. Flexibility to work in other areas and departments, as needed. Must be able to cross train in other departmental areas. Maintain a clean workplace to avoid tripping hazards or other accidents. Follow all food safety policies and procedures including performing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments and related activities as directed. Promote a safe work environment by following facility and company safety guidelines. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner Ability to effectively communicate with manager and co-workers. Ability to comprehend and carryout simple instructions. Safely operate and become certified in use of electric pallet jack, walk-rider, forklift, and/or other required equipment. Education and Experience 2 or more years warehouse experience, required. Experience with a computerized inventory system, required. Previous forklift certification, preferred. Ability to count and perform basic math. Physical Demands Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, and able to stand and walk for long periods of time Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Working Conditions The warehouse is a non-climate-controlled facility. The outside temperature generally reflects the inside temperature with little air circulation. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust. Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety vest and any other personal protective equipment as required for the facility/work area (i.e., gloves, safety shoes).
