Project Manager 2 (NY HELPS)

Duties Description:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Coordinate and support the activities of a project teamAssist with defining scope statementsFacilitate scrum meetings acting as scrum masterSupervise, train and mentor Project Management staff as assignedAssist with PBITS or RFP requestsCreate and maintain work breakdown structuresDetermine project start and end dates and establish critical milestones within the scheduleRecord quality metrics and compile project reportsInteract with stakeholders and coordinate the activities of the project team to ensure objectives and milestone timelines are metSet up and facilitate Project meetingsMinimum Qualifications:Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OROne year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren't limited to: Administrative Specialist 2, Business Systems Analyst 2, Information Technology Specialist 3; ORA bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in project management which must include planning and at least three other of the management process groups: origination (including governance/work intake, portfolio management, capacity/demand planning); initiating; executing; controlling; and closing. This experience must include the development of project management deliverables, such as scope statements, schedules, budgets, quality plans, risk plans, and communication plans; ORA Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience. Current certification from the from the Project Management Institute as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) may substitute for two years of experience or a Project Management Professional (PMP) may substitute for three years of experience.Please be advised that the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) does not offer sponsorship for employment visas to employees or potential employees.
