Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Devices / Pharma (GMP)

Petaluma, CA | On-Site | Contract to Hire

Kelly Engineering is hiring on behalf of our client, a medical device manufacturer specializing in combination products (device + drug) . This is an exciting opportunity to step into a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer role with clear growth into leadership.

The Role

We are looking for a go-getter with 3-5+ years of GMP-regulated experience in medical device or pharma manufacturing . This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment , enjoys being hands-on with pumps, piping, and production systems, and has the drive to eventually lead production activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead installation, assembly, and troubleshooting of pumps, piping, and production equipment.

Support validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), scale-up, and GMP compliance.

Develop SOPs, process improvements, and documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive production success.

Step into a leadership role in manufacturing operations over time.

Must-Have Qualifications

3-5+ years in GMP-regulated manufacturing.

Background in medical devices or pharma (non-negotiable) .

Strong mechanical aptitude (pumps, piping, production equipment).

Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, GMP.

Startup-ready: proactive, driven, and milestone-focused.

Preferred Skills

Combination product experience (device + drug).

Lean/Six Sigma, CAD, or MES experience.
