The Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit (OU) is a newly formed team with a bold mission: to consolidate, simplify, and accelerate Microsoft's presence across the DIB landscape. This expansive network includes over 100,000 organizations specializing in manufacturing, aviation, cybersecurity, and more-all united in their support of all Federal Agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense and other mission-based intelligence and civilian organizations.

The DIB OU will directly manage and accelerate strategic and major DIB accounts across MCAPS Americas, while also enabling growth across other OUs and SME&C. We're building new relationships, transforming legacy operations, and helping our customers modernize with confidence.
We're looking for a Cloud Solution Architect - Copilot with a passion for transforming collaboration and content management through AI-powered experiences in SharePoint. In this role, you'll lead customers through the next wave of innovation-designing secure, scalable, and intelligent solutions that unlock productivity and governance across Microsoft 365. As a Data CSA in the DIB Operating Unit, you will play a critical role in advancing Microsoft's mission to support national defense and security through data-driven innovation. You'll engage with some of the most secure and high-impact environments globally, helping customers leverage Microsoft's data solutions to protect sensitive information, enable secure AI, and drive digital transformation.
This role is part of a newly formed team supporting the Defense Industrial Base, a $400B+ sector spanning Tier 1-3 defense partners. As a Copilot CSA, you'll bring deep technical expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, accelerating adoption of AI-powered collaboration and governance solutions across classified and sovereign environments. You'll drive usage excellence by enabling Copilot, SharePoint Advanced Management, and intelligent workflows that transform how defense organizations manage content and unlock mission-critical insights.

Responsibilities

Lead the transformation of customer collaboration environments by deploying secure, scalable SharePoint Online architectures integrated with Microsoft Copilot and SharePoint Advanced Management (SAM).
Align SharePoint modernization strategies to mission outcomes, with a focus on AI-powered workflows, governance, and extensibility in regulated and classified environments.
Support commercial defense contractors and federal agencies by embedding Zero Trust principles and compliance frameworks (e.g., ITAR, CMMC, FedRAMP) into SharePoint and Microsoft 365 deployments.
Ensure secure access and content protection across GCC, GCCH, and sovereign cloud environments, partnering with security CSAs to deliver Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, and Purview capabilities.
Demonstrate strong business acumen and opportunity identification, leading architecture whiteboarding sessions and live demos to showcase SharePoint Copilot scenarios and drive customer impact.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 workloads with emphasis on SharePoint on-prem, SharePoint Online, Copilot, and SharePoint Advanced Management (SAM).

Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience delivering collaboration and content governance solutions in regulated or classified environments, including GCC, GCCH, and sovereign clouds.
Familiarity with MCEM, Unified Delivery, and Factory engagement models to drive scalable customer success.
Proven ability to lead Copilot adoption, drive usage across SharePoint scenarios, and support renewals through measurable business impact.

Information Protection and Compliance (SC-400)

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
