Position Summary

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will work on the design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that impact millions of users across the healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to the design and architecture of software solutions.

Develop and maintain scalable applications using Node.js, Java, and related technologies.

Architect cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or other major cloud providers.

Implement containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes (K8s) for efficient scaling and deployment.

Manage distributed data processing pipelines using Kafka for event-driven architecture.

Optimize performance and ensure high availability with Redis for caching and storage.

Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation in production environments.

Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and automation.

Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices and development techniques.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of software development, design and solutioning in enterprise/web applications.

5+ years of experience using cloud technologies such as GCP/ AWS/ Azure.

3+ years of experience with React JS, NodeJS or other front-end technologies.

5+ years of solid knowledge of Java, Spring Boot and related frameworks.

2+ years of hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.

2+ years of experience with Kafka for message queuing and stream processing.

2+ years of extensive experience Microservices development using well established design patterns like EDA.

5+ years of experience in working in any of the following database - PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.

2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Scrum or Kanban.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its integration.

Exposure to healthcare technology and compliance standards (HIPAA, etc.).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and modern deployment practices.

Provides?leadership?and high-level direction to team members.

Experience working with distributed teams, across multiple time zones and geographies.?

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven track record of building and deploying large-scale, high-performance applications.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$142,140.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
