CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Neo4j Database Administrator within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Neo4j Database Administrator is responsible for the overall health, performance, and security of Neo4j graph database environments. This role often involves a blend of administration, development, and collaboration with other teams

This position is located in our Arlington VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Must live within a 50-mile radius of DMV/NCR
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Database Management:
o Install, configure, and upgrade Neo4j database instances and clusters.
o Manage Neo4j clusters, including backup, recovery, and high availability setups.
o Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform tuning for optimal efficiency.
o Implement and manage data import and migration processes into Neo4j.
o Ensure data security, user access control, and compliance with organizational policies.
. Performance and Optimization:
o Analyze and optimize Cypher queries and graph data models for performance and scalability.
o Troubleshoot issues related to query performance, resource usage, and system health.
o Implement monitoring tools to track database health and performance metrics.
. Collaboration and Support:
o Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to design and implement graph data models.
o Provide support to application teams utilizing Neo4j, assisting with integration and query development.
o Create and maintain documentation for database architecture, procedures, and configurations.
. Maintenance and Operations:
o Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.
o Stay updated on the latest Neo4j releases, features, and best practices.
o Manage multiple Neo4j instances and environments.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
. Security Clearance: Active DOD Clearance Required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI is preferred.
. Strong experience in database administration, with specific expertise in Neo4j.
. Proficiency in Cypher query language and graph data modeling.
. Experience with Neo4j tools and ecosystem (e.g., Neo4j Browser, Bloom, APOC).
. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) if managing cloud-based Neo4j instances.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $160,200.00 - $180,800.00.
