Our client, an industry leader in automotive safety testing and quality assurance, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Test Technician to join their team. As a Test Technician, you will be an integral part of the testing and development department supporting engineering and production teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Test Technician

Location: Plymouth, MI

Pay Range: $24-$35/hr.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

What's the Job?

Perform safety tests on automotive seating components and systems in accordance with established protocols and specifications.

Set up and operate testing equipment, including accelerometers, load cells, and string potentiometers.

Collect, analyze, and document test data using data acquisition systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Maintain detailed records of test results, equipment maintenance, and calibration activities.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support product development and quality assurance initiatives.

What's Needed?

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Test Technician, preferably in the automotive or related industry.

Proficiency in operating and maintaining testing equipment and software.

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with analytical skills to interpret complex data.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
