CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Operations Manager within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Deputy Operations Manager supports senior management by overseeing technical operations, ensuring service delivery, managing technical staff, and maintaining operational processes and infrastructure. Key responsibilities include staff management and development, project and contract oversight, financial oversight, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to troubleshoot and make decisive actions to maintain operational efficiency and profitability.

This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Technical Oversight & Management: Manage and coordinate technical teams, ensuring all assigned systems and operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Staffing & Development: Maintain staffing levels, schedule work, delegate tasks, and contribute to the professional growth of technical staff through coaching and feedback.
Operations & Project Management: Oversee daily and weekly operations, manage technical projects, and monitor progress against established goals and service level agreements (SLAs).
Technical Direction & Support: Coordinate and oversee technical direction letters (TDLs), assist with complex technical troubleshooting, and provide hardware, software, and network support.
Financial Management: Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reports to ensure profitability and efficient resource allocation.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols (like Health, Safety, and Environment - HSE), and company standards.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality within the technical domain.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve technical issues and operational challenges with minimal disruption to service delivery.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 8 years of experience
Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a CI Poly; an active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of relevant technical systems, hardware, and software, including areas like operating systems (UNIX, Windows, Linux), virtualization (VMware), and network infrastructure.
Leadership & Management: Strong leadership skills to motivate teams, delegate effectively, and manage team performance.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute operational strategies that align with business goals.
Problem-Solving: Decisive and quick-thinking to resolve conflicts and troubleshoot complex issues.
Communication: Effective communication skills to coordinate with multiple teams and provide clear instructions.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $200000.00.
