Description We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This role is ideal for someone with a meticulous demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional service to visitors and callers.

Responsibilities:

Greet visitors warmly and manage the check-in process with attention to detail.

Handle incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, directing them promptly to the appropriate departments.

Maintain an organized and tidy reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment.

Provide accurate information to callers and visitors about company services and operations.

Manage and distribute incoming mail and packages effectively.

Support administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and maintaining records.

Coordinate with internal teams to address visitor needs or inquiries.

Monitor and manage office supplies inventory for the reception area.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at the front desk. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a receptionist or in a similar role.

Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and switchboards with up to 10 lines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

A composed demeanor with attention to detail.

Ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with basic office equipment and software, such as Microsoft Office.
