The Commercial Closer completes various tasks prior to closing and funding complex commercial transactions, including obtaining and/or reviewing required due diligence, preparing and/or reviewing commercial loan documents including disbursement instructions, and ensuring all required closing conditions have been met. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Conducts post review of all Comm'l loan @types, including complex Commercial Loan Documents related to attorney prepared, SBA, franchise, equipment finance, healthcare, asset based lending and mezzanine loan documents. May conduct a pre-review, prior to loan closing, of attorney prepared documents. Based on prior experience, assists Commercial Loan Pre/Post Review Manager with providing training & coaching to fellow associates.

This individual must provide superior client service and support. This individual must display professional etiquette and have excellent time management skills, communication skills, be self-motivated, and a team player.

Conducts pre and post review of complex Commercial Loan documents by inspecting the commercial loan documentation before and/or after loan closing. Complex loans may represent deals within Commercial & Industrial, Commercial Real Estate, Asset Based Lending, Equipment Finance, Franchise, Healthcare and Mezzanine lending, secured by various @types of collateral with complex borrowing entity structures. The review will ensure that the documentation is accurate & complete to memorialize the transaction and perfect the collateral.

Verify all post documentation requirements have been met in alliance with credit approval.

Verification of collateral perfection and verbiage within legal loan documents in accordance with deal specifics.

Reviews loan for covenant & financial reporting requirements, updating in the tracking system accordingly.

Inputs tracking data and images to the document imaging and archive system.

Responsible for accurate input and maintenance of post-closing exceptions to tracking system.

Responsible for achieving and maintaining a Satisfactory Level of Post Review turnaround time with accuracy, per department Service Level Agreement.

May assist manager with research & corrections within the imaging system as related to exceptions and credit/financial reporting requirements in response to Credit Risk & audit reviews

Performs other tasks and assignments as directed by Management.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job:

At least 4 years prior experience with complex Commercial Lending Business Products preferred, including SBA.

At least 4 years prior experience with Commercial Loan core systems and Document drafting software preferred

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents comparable to a paralegal

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in corresponding with clients and legal counsel.

Extremely detailed and proficient with multi-tasking.

Ability to perform in a high volume, stressful environment that works within deadlines.

Four year certificate from college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
