Robert Half is working with a prominent organization specializing in insurance defense, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Paralegal to join thier legal team. In this role, you will support attorneys handling complex insurance defense matters and corporate legal issues. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to be part of a collaborative team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide paralegal and administrative support to attorneys on insurance defense and corporate law matters.

Draft, organize, and file various legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.

Assist attorneys with legal research, reviewing case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to insurance and corporate matters.

Coordinate discovery processes, including document collection, organization, and production for litigation.

Maintain and organize case files, ensuring records (both physical and electronic) are up-to-date and accessible.

Monitor case-related deadlines, manage attorney calendars, and schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings.

Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and trial binders, and providing on-site trial support when necessary.

Manage corporate governance documents and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Communicate with court staff, clients, insurers, and opposing counsel as needed.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program required.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience, with a focus in insurance defense or corporate law preferred.

Skills:

Strong understanding of legal procedures in insurance defense litigation and corporate compliance.

Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.

Exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and e-filing systems used in state and federal courts.
