Robert Half, the world's first and largest specialized staffing agency, is seeking an Accounting Clerk for a client in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on organization, attention to detail, and supporting financial operations in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting Clerk will manage daily accounting tasks such as processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with administrative support for the finance department. This position is critical for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the company's accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Verify and post invoices and assist with payment processing.

Maintain detailed transaction records and update the general ledger.

Help reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.

Prepare routine financial reports and spreadsheets for management.

Assist with data entry and maintenance of accounting databases.

Strong support for month-end and year-end closings.

Provide administrative and organizational support to the accounting team as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.

1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative roles.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP; strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, formulas, spreadsheets).

Familiarity with basic accounting principles and processes.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ERP systems or similar financial tools.

Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines in a collaborative team setting.
