Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join a dynamic financial services team in Tustin, California. This Contract-to-permanent position offers a great opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills while contributing to essential financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) transactions accurately and efficiently.

Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist in monthly account reconciliation tasks.

Prepare journal entries and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.

Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting.

Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.

Organize and maintain financial documentation to support internal audits and compliance efforts.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address invoicing or payment discrepancies.

Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable accounting regulations.

Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

Internship experience or up to 1 year of accounting practice is preferred but not mandatory.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or NetSuite is advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and an ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting processes and tools.
