AI and ML Engineer

As an AI sof tware engineer, you know that good sof tware is more than just a nice-looking interface and data. Booz Allen is the leading provider of artificial intelligence (AI) services to the nation-we're looking for a sof tware engineer like you to create AI and machine learning solutions that help solve the Department of Defense's (DoD) toughest problems.

Here, you'll lead a team as they create and implement complete end-to-end solutions that modernize client systems. You'll ensure that your team's solutions consider the broader ecosystem and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. Additionally, you'll use your expertise in the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies to solve the DoD's toughest challenges.

You Have:

5+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying AI models, machine learning workflows, data engineering, and data pipelines using Agile methods through to production

5+ years of experience with sof tware development in AWS, GCP, or Azure

Experience with the administration of continuous integration and continuous deployment ( CI / CD ) using tools such as ModelOps or MLOps

Experience writing and optimizing source code for AI models and data workflows such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

Experience with acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through AI-driven automation

Experience with integrating AI systems architecture, AI platforms, or MLflow

Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in CS, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Data Science

Nice If You Have:

Experience leading extreme programming, sof tware engineering, product management, and sof tware products with Agile methodology

Experience with AI ethics, responsible AI practices, and AI governance frameworks

Experience with DoD systems

Top Secret clearance

Master's degree in AI, CS, or a related field preferred; Doctorate degree in AI, CS, or a related field a plus

ML, AI, or Solution Architecture Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
