Description We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team in Northfield, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract opportunity designed to provide comprehensive legal and administrative support in areas such as real estate transactions, land use, and business law. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex tasks independently.

Responsibilities:

Draft and prepare legal documents including agreements of sale, amendments, attorney review letters, and related correspondence for residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Handle conveyance tasks such as preparing deeds, affidavits of title, escrow instructions, and bills of sale, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Coordinate with title companies and lenders to facilitate closings, insurance, and deed transfers, and manage the electronic recording process.

Prepare and submit applications for planning and zoning boards, county planning departments, and other regulatory entities.

Conduct zoning analyses by researching municipal ordinances, property data, wetlands, and related environmental factors.

Draft resolutions for planning and zoning boards and manage legal notices, affidavits of publication, and other required documentation.

Form business entities, obtain EINs, and handle filings such as amendments, annual reports, and certificates of good standing.

Draft corporate documents including operating agreements, equity purchase agreements, and related business contracts.

Review surveys, site plans, architectural plans, and expert reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Monitor critical deadlines for transactions and legal filings, maintaining detailed calendars and records. Requirements - Minimum of two years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in real estate, land use, or business law.

Proficiency in legal research and drafting, with a strong understanding of civil litigation and trial preparation.

Familiarity with e-filing systems and case management software.

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of attention to detail in complex legal matters.

Strong communication skills to interact with clients, municipal officials, and external partners.

Knowledge of real estate law, land use planning, and zoning regulations.

Experience in discovery processes and litigation-related tasks.
