An exciting opportunity exists for a college intern to join our Semiconductor Reliability team at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.
What You Will Do
Perform reliability measurements on GaAs and GaN transistors, passive components and MMICs (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits) using probe stations and reliability testing systems such as DC and RFOL
Perform failure analysis of components
Plot and present test results
What You Will Learn
Reliability measurement techniques
Use of reliability test equipment
Use of software tools such as Labview, Python to control test equipment and manipulate test date
Reliability key metrics such as MTTF (Mean Time To Failure), failure rates, safe operating conditions, and corresponding confidence bounds
Qualifications You Must Have
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum entering their sophomore year by the start of summer 2026.
Qualifications We Prefer
Interest in semiconductor reliability
Strong academic background
Good written and oral communication skills
Experience with any of the following software: Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics' Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMP

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
