Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial concepts and experience with accounting software, making them a key contributor to our financial operations.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.

Maintain strong relationships with vendors and resolve any discrepancies efficiently.

Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.

Prepare journal entries and support employee expense reimbursement processes.

Utilize QuickBooks Online for vendor setup, maintenance, invoice processing, and payment workflows.

Apply advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and various functions for data processing and analysis.

Ensure accurate invoice verification and correct GL coding.

Maintain organized financial records and support audit and tax documentation.

Essential Skills

3-4 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to automate repetitive tasks and strong analytical thinking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.

Strong communication skills for vendor interactions.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.

Experience with other accounting software besides QuickBooks Online is a plus.

Familiarity with tax-related document preparation.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role requires working in a dynamic environment where precision and timely execution are valued. Dress code is business casual.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
