Electrical Construction Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee and manage electrical construction projects from inception to completion for a manufacturing client. The ideal candidate will provide direction to assigned contractors, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, contractor management, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Contractor Oversight: Provide clear direction and guidance to assigned contractors, ensuring they understand project expectations and requirements.

Performance Monitoring: Oversee contractor performance in terms of safety, quality, costs, and adherence to project schedules. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance.

Scope Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert on contractor scope, ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications and contractual obligations.

Punch List Management: Develop and manage punch lists for contractors, ensuring timely completion of outstanding work items and addressing any deficiencies.

Invoice Reviews: Review and approve contractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project progress and contractual terms.

Primary Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned contractors, facilitating communication and addressing any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical construction management or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.

Strong knowledge of PLCs and Instruments.

Strong knowledge of reading prints (PIDs, schematics, and one lines)

Proven experience in contractor management and performance oversight.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.

Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
