Description

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible to lead, improve, and sustain the manufacturing operation at GRC. Their focus will be safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. They will utilize lean principles to support their leadership in establishing a culture of continuous improvement while using technology and other tools to ensure stable growth and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Works with management personnel to establish standards for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, budget, and cost controls as part of annual strategic planning/policy deployment process.

Leads supervisors and the broader manufacturing team to meet production schedules and serve our customers.

Plans and directs production activities & establishes production priorities to meet operations targets of safety, scrap, labor utilization, productions efficiencies, & budget forecast of the entire manufacturing operation.

Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality; drives continuous process improvements and programs assuring that production objectives are met on a timely basis within established cost and quality standards. Oversees training and effective utilization of lean manufacturing techniques, value stream mapping and kaizen implementation.

Active participation and leadership of the company Management System combined of Hoshin work and the Management Development System.

Leadership, training, and mentoring of the entire manufacturing team.

Direct and coordinate various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, environmental, etc.)

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations or Industrial Management from a four-year degree college or university or equivalent experience; Master's degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred.

Proven knowledge of TPS, TQM, TPM, SPC & a record of continuous improvement of business procedures & process flows; formal lean training (or certification) & quality training (or certification) required.

Five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing facility.

Ability to problem solve & form decisions & policies to accomplish goals.

Orientation to detail.

Proven math & analytical skills.

Ability to interpret, exchange, & translate facts & information. Positive attitude a must.

General computer literacy to utilize manufacturing software.

Proven knowledge and implementation of Lean concepts into their daily work
