The Atom5 team, as part of SPE (Software Product Engineering) organisation at Lilly, focuses on delivering innovative, high-quality software solutions that drive business growth and enhance customer experiences. It brings together cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and product managers to build scalable, secure, and user-centric products in the clinical trial space. The role within Atom5 involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to define requirements, design robust architectures, and implement features that align with the product vision. What You'll Be Doing:
As a Sr Principal Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will:
Leverage your expertise across frontend, backend, databases to optimize our systems and build complex features as part of the team, by writing clean code, taking pride in your work and value simplicity, testing and productivity as part of your daily routine, always putting user experience first
Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, making technical decisions that ensure our platforms are scalable, performant, and maintainable across the entire stack
Support and debug critical production issues, and implement sophisticated solutions while carefully considering business impact
Provide leadership mentorship to our less experiences team members, helping establish best practices and guiding architectural decisions while fostering a collaborative learning environment
Embrace new languages and frameworks, containers and cloud, and not be afraid to dig deep and learn new things all the time
Have a key role in hiring, onboarding and growing the team's capacity and capabilities, with strategic on AI tooling and development
Collaborate with other teams, technical and business/product leadership to ensure best quality of the product that delights the users
What You Should Bring:
Good understanding of the AI space and practices in modern software development
Experience and enjoyment in mentoring and growing members of your team
Experience in developing highly regulated space focused on compliance, privacy and security
Experience in product-focused development, with customer centric requirements and goals
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field
10+ years of experience in Software Engineering
Demonstrated ability to program in multiple languages - including at least one of Spring/Java, Typescript, ReactJS, React-Native
Professional experience in delivering software solutions that span the development life cycle using best practices, i.e., design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance
Professional experience of devops practices and container linux/cloud environment
Demonstrated ability in data modelling and querying using SQL relational databases
Additional Information:
This position is permanent, with location in Corporate center in Indianapolis US.
You will work closely with teams across the globe, specifically UK and India, so some travel is expected (a few times a year)

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$123,000 - $213,400
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
