Summary You will serve as a ASSISTANT in the of LOGISTICS AND LIFE CYCLE ENGINEERING (40000) NIWC ATLANTIC. Responsibilities You will review, approve, and assign purchase card procurement requests ensuring compliance with material procurement laws, regulations, policies and other applicable requirements. You will provide documented processes and procedures and designing forms for an area of expertise such as material procurements for review by other team members to ensure customers clearly understand requirements to obtain required products/services. You will develop, recommend, and implement improvements to processes/procedures internal to the competency and recommend improvements beyond the competency which may improve procurement execution. You will research, analyze and respond to inquiries from customers, team members, and others within the command to resolve basic and moderately complex procurement issues. You will mentor team members and others in accordance with established Material Procurement Policies, Processes and Procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and resolving complex procurement issues demonstrating expertise across functional areas such as finance, inventory management, cataloging, transportation and supply AND knowledge of procurement and logistics regulations, procedures related to Purchase Card and Material contracts.
