Job Title: Electrical Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman skilled in bending pipe with both hand and hydraulic benders. The role involves installing conduit, handling switchgear and terminations, running BX and MC cable, and performing roughing tasks. You will also be troubleshooting and wiring panels.

Responsibilities

Bend pipe using hand and hydraulic benders.

Install conduit and perform switchgear terminations.

Run BX and MC cable, and execute roughing tasks.

Troubleshoot and wire electrical panels.

Install outlets, switches, and devices.

Pull BX and MC cable efficiently.

Demonstrate proficiency in service, switchgear, and conduit work.

Essential Skills

Electrical troubleshooting and installation expertise.

Proficiency in bending conduit and pipe.

8+ years of commercial electrical experience.

SST 10-hour certification.

OSHA 30 certification.

Lift Certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proven ability to work as a foreman-level electrician.

Strong technical ability with pipe work, panel wiring, and three-way switch wiring.

Ability to work independently with confidence and efficiency.

Work Environment

All projects commence at 7:00 AM. Employees must sign in and out daily with their foreman, and maintain possession of their PPE, tools, and certifications (SST & OSHA 30). The evaluation will focus on technical ability, attitude, and speed. Projects are strictly local to NYC, with an emphasis on drug-free and safety-compliant workspaces.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
