Our client, a leading organization in financial operations, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounts Payable team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Somerset, NJ

Pay Range: $25.00 per hour

Shift: 8am-5pm

What's the Job?

Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice and expense reports and recording entries.

Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving discrepancies.

Process employee expense reports and requests for advances, preparing checks as needed.

Maintain confidentiality of organizational information and seek continuous improvement in the payment process.

Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

What's Needed?

Minimum of 4+ years of proven experience as an accounts payable clerk.

Extensive experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft.

High-volume data entry skills in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with accounting knowledge and PC proficiency.
