SOFTWARE DEVELOPER SENIOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
Responsible for comprehensive asset management for the Army Watercraft fleet, encompassing67 vessels and 15,525 individual assets within the Single Interface to the Field (SIF) Asset Database. This includes diligently maintaining the asset inventory through additions, deletions, and modifications as equipment is updated or removed, and ensuring accurate records of repairs and replacements. A key aspect of this role is maintaining the relationships between assets within SIF to support the Incident Reporting Module (IRM).
Develop and maintain both SIF Asset Database report templates for data verification and separate, mirroring vessel asset files in Excel, which serve as a workspace for preparing changes before they are implemented in SIF.
Create and maintain VBA tools for data verification and to assist with overall asset management, including generating an "All Vessel Assets" file for distribution to relevant personnel. This file, a subset of the detailed vessel asset files, provides readily available data for technicians and management, and is updated on demand using custom VBA tools.
Perform Quality Assurance (QA) on Incident Reports (IRs) submitted by AWS-CST contractors, ensuring data completeness and adherence to guidance documentation. This involves inspecting both the entered data and attached Service Work Order (PDF) documents.
Generate reports for AWS-CST management detailing any discrepancies found. To aid in this QA process, develop and maintain VBA tools and Business Objects reports to extract and analyze IR data.
Analyze Contractor Field Service Representative (CFSR) labor times reported for IR resolution, generating monthly reports for management that detail performance and efficiency. This is supported by VBA tools leveraging the Adobe Application Programming Interface (API) to extract data from SWO PDF files and perform detailed labor hour analysis. Throughout all these tasks, the goal is to ensure data accuracy, provide insightful reporting, and support the effective maintenance of the Army Watercraft fleet.
Currently co-developing with the SIF Organization and SaaS cloud solution with ServiceNow as a data-store solution to replace the legacy database. This solution will meet watercraft C5SIR operational needs and serve as a single point for the Army Watercraft C5ISR community to access relevant material to support its sustainment effort.

The likely salary range for this position is $81,629 - $110,438. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
