Job Description:

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Project/Training Specialist on a team delivering administrative, scientific, technical and logistical support to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI). Your team will stand up a new NIH DPCPSI Office of Research Innovation, Validation and Application (ORIVA). Responsibilities include scientific research and writing to support New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and modeling methods.

Success requires proven experience in a dynamic, detail-oriented research environment and the ability to provide responsive, flexible support services.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

· Be an integral part of the scientific team including researchers, data analysts, programmers, and technologists

· Develop and support stakeholder engagement and outreach efforts through a multimodal approach to communications and training

· Develop and implement a comprehensive training program supporting enablement of NAM adoption

· Serve as a key resource to intramural and extramural stakeholders supporting their adoption and consumption of NAMs

· Maintain records of training activities, participation, and outcomes

· Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback mechanisms

· Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required:

· MA/MS in a related field with 2+ years of developing and delivering training in scientific analysis and/or data management

· Demonstrated experience developing and delivering comprehensive training programs covering scientific topics and for technical audiences

· Experience providing clear, comprehensive documentation supporting training programs

· Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively lead in-person and virtual trainings and workshops

· Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of scientific professionals

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Preferred:

· Experience in NAMs or a related scientific field

· Certification in instructional design or a related field

· Previous experience with Health and Human Services (HHS) and/or NIH

Location: Onsite

The likely salary range for this position is $54,400 - $73,600. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
