At a Glance

Legrandhas an exciting opportunity for aMechanical Engineering Co-Op, Spring/Summer 2026in our Syracuse, NY office. As an intern, you'll participate in our New Product Development process and develop competency in a variety of mechanical engineering activities

Main Job Duties:

Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of Product Design which may include:

Plastic component and sheet metal component design

Creation of Engineering Drawings and Specifications

Product Benchmarking

Design of experiments, perform tests, and document results

Use of Engineering software to perform tasks

Provide support to Engineers and Lab Technicians as needed

Salary Range: $18.00-$23.00/hour

Qualifications

Requirements:

Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or an Associate's Degree program in an associated discipline from an accredited institution

Experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred)

Solid analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively on a team & have good communication skills both verbal & written

Must provide own mode of transportation. Housing stipend available based on distance from office location.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or have authorization to work in the U.S.
