Our client, a leader in packaging innovation within the consumer goods industry, is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the R&D and manufacturing support teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, innovative thinking, and excellent collaboration skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr Packaging Engineer

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

What's the Job?

Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative packaging solutions across multiple product categories.

Evaluate and incorporate new packaging technologies, materials, and equipment to improve product performance, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.

Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and suppliers to ensure packaging solutions meet functional, regulatory, and brand standards.

Conduct feasibility studies, pilot trials, and validation testing for new packaging systems.

Provide technical expertise in rigid plastic development, including material selection, molding processes, and performance optimization.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the food, beverage, or consumer goods industry.

Proven experience with rigid plastic packaging technologies and processes.

Strong understanding of packaging equipment, filling technologies, and automation systems.

Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
