As a Unarmed Security Guard - Manufacturing Site in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail or mall location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be expected to respond promptly to situations, assist with access control, and use your communication skills to address inquiries or concerns. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail or mall location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and vendors to support a welcoming environment while upholding security-related standards.
Remain alert to changing conditions and communicate promptly regarding any concerns or incidents that arise during patrols.

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
