Walmart is seeking a Senior Director, Platforms & Content Experience, to lead our enterprise-owned communications channels and innovate how we tell Walmart's story. Sitting at the crossroads of creativity, data, and emerging tech, you'll oversee an ecosystem that delivers Walmart stories to millions of stakeholders with precision and impact. From AI-powered workflows to broadcast studios, you will shape how content is distributed, discovered, and continually optimized-advancing engagement, efficiency, and reputation for the world's largest retailer.
About Platforms & Content Experience
Housed within Walmart Global Communications, the Platforms & Content Experience team connects storytellers, technologists, and stakeholders to amplify Walmart's voice. We oversee the company's channel ecosystem and communications technology roadmap, ensuring stories reach the right audiences at the right moments. By blending creativity with data and emerging tech, we unlock platform performance, elevate stakeholder experiences and boost Walmart's reputation. In this role, you'll influence enterprise communication and platform strategy in partnership with Corporate Affairs, Global Tech, Marketing, and key vendors.
What you'll do:
Own and evolve enterprise websites, social, broadcast, and internal channels to boost engagement and reputation.
Use data, insights, and AI to guide platform strategy and precision content distribution.
Align with creative, tech and vendors to optimize storytelling outcomes, future capabilities, and operational efficiency.
Explore and pilot emerging communications technologies, scaling breakthroughs enterprise-wide.
Lead, coach, and empower a multi-disciplinary team toward high-impact outcomes.
What you'll bring:
12+ years' experience leading enterprise digital platforms or content strategy.
Track record boosting audience engagement through data-driven channel optimization.
Expertise applying AI and emerging tech to enhance creative workflows and measurement.
Executive presence, high emotional intelligence, and credibility with senior leaders.
Skill in building scalable systems and inspiring high-agency, multidisciplinary teams.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field and 6 years' experience in journalism, communications, or relevant area OR 8 years' experience in journalism, communications, or relevant area.
2 years' supervisory experience.
