Amazon is looking for a Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven program management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional programs in Data Center Operations.
This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to management on status, risks and process changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive program management experience, combined with deep analytical capabilities and a keen sense of innovation, to lead programs from conception to completion.
We are actively seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in strategic planning to lead key initiatives that align with our long-term business objectives. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in transforming visions into actionable plans and guiding those plans to fruition. In this role, you will be identifying critical business opportunities and challenges, and in devising innovative solutions to address them. You will work closely with various internal teams and stakeholders, harmonizing different perspectives and ensuring cohesive efforts towards common goals.

This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams (internal operations, engineering, legal, finance, procurement, environmental/health/safety, etc.). Key job responsibilities
Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.
Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics.
Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.
Foster collaboration to optimize resource allocation and project success.
Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common program pitfalls.
Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues.
Regularly communicate with managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.
Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear
Assist Cluster Leader with tactical and strategic deliverables. Manage action plans, communicate direction to the team and provide assistance based on past experience. Manage calendar/schedules, coordinate cluster-wide events/activities.
Facilitate creation of SOWs with partner teams to be included in contract documents including RFQ/RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing.
Build strong working relationships with data center leadership teams across multiple sites as well as other internal stakeholders (operations, finance, safety, security, legal, procurement).
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work/life experience.
3+ yrs of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, program manager, construction management or related roles.
Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management. Must be well organized and able to work effectively under pressure. Proven ability to effectively manage project budgets is essential.
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level, SQL, LLMs and Tableau
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements. Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Certification from industry recognized authority
5+ years Data center and facility operations experience
5+ years Technical project management or Construction management
Experience managing large, cross-functional projects exceeding $3 Million dollars in scope
Experience performing vendor management for multiple accounts exceeding $1 million dollars in annual spend
Experience in stakeholder management
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
