Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Professional Electrical Engineer to join our team at Insight Global, a leader in consulting engineering for industrial and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of progressive experience, a proven track record in project management, and strong knowledge of industrial or commercial electrical systems. You will play a key role in designing, managing, and delivering electrical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and deliver multiple electrical engineering projects simultaneously, from proposal and design through to construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Conduct detailed electrical system design for industrial or commercial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and control systems.

Lead project teams, coordinate with cross-discipline engineers, architects, and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Prepare specifications, drawings, calculations, and cost estimates in accordance with industry standards and codes.

Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and quality assurance review.

Interface with clients, attend project meetings, provide status updates, and address technical and project-related inquiries.

Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and national codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, etc.).

Perform site visits, inspections, and commissioning of engineered systems as required.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Master's degree is a plus.

Professional Engineer (PE) license OR EIT required.

5-10 years of electrical engineering experience in a consulting engineering environment.

Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.

Strong technical knowledge in industrial or commercial electrical engineering (power distribution, lighting, controls, etc.).

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other engineering design and modeling software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings as necessary. Experience with construction administration and contractor coordination.

Understanding of sustainability practices and energy-efficient design.

Leadership, mentoring, and staff development experience.
