Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Rockaway, New Jersey. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth and stability. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.

Conduct check runs and maintain accurate records of transactions.

Perform three-way matching for purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.

Resolve discrepancies and issues with vendors or internal teams.

Reconcile credit card statements and ensure proper allocation of expenses.

Handle wire transfers and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments.

Assist with account coding and ensure proper classification of expenses.

Utilize accounting software systems to manage accounts payable functions.

Collaborate with management to implement system improvements and updates.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or similar accounting roles.

Proficiency in accrual accounting and general auditing practices.

Knowledge of three-way matching processes and financial reconciliations.

Familiarity with accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
