Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation and a solid understanding of construction processes. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various @types of machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites.
Responsibilities
Operation and basic maintenance of various heavy equipment including but not limited to:
Guide rail post drivers.
Log loaders.
Road wideners.
Excavators.
Earth augers.
Boom trucks (up to 26 ton).
Working outdoors in all @types of weather conditions.
Loading and unloading materials on trucks and safely transporting to/from job site.
Working alongside and at the direction of others to complete quality installations.
Handling materials that weigh in excess of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
Requirements:
Successful candidates MUST possess the following:
Qualifying experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment including but not limited to:
Trade school in heavy equipment operation.
Completion of a heavy equipment operation apprenticeship program.
2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or a related industry.
Be motivated and have a positive attitude.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
Availability to travel overnight 100% (Monday Friday) from April 1 to December 24.
Ability to handle materials in excess of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
Ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (in-house training available).
Ability to work in a fast paced, team driven environment.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Availability to work overtime and some weekends.
Willingness to join a union.
Reliable transportation to and from our facility in Oaks Corners, NY.
All employees depart and return to Oaks Corners, NY each week.
Corners (Geneva), NY and our work takes us throughout New York State.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $47.39 - $50.00 per hour
