What You'll Be Doing
Job Summary: Generally responsible for total delivery of services safely, on time, within performance budget and meeting quality expectations on moderately complex projects. Work at this level requires progressive experience in construction management and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects. This work will be performed under minimal supervision.
Client is undergoing a multi-stage expansion replacing three aluminum direct chill casting complexes with two new casting complexes.
In-depth understanding of project integration principles and safety protocols.
Ability to interpret, evaluate, and ensure field compliance with technical drawings, diagrams, and documentation.
Working knowledge of discipline and industry standards including relevant NPFA, IEC, IEE, ASME, etc.
Working understanding of electrical distribution systems including low, medium, and high voltages.
Working understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and CMMS utilization.
Working knowledge of complex data collection/acquisition systems and requirements.
Understanding of machinery specifications and procedures.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Direct and manage all aspects of installation for assigned projects and maintenance outages including safety, risk, quality, procurement, communication, stakeholder engagement, resource, and scope change management with the support of a team.
Lead pre-construction planning/reviews and provide constructability input during design phases and reviews.
Provide field support during all phases of project.
Provide technical guidance and direction in the analysis and resolution of complex project challenges.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.

Ideal Background
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in construction or engineering field is highly preferred.
Licensing: General Contractors License is highly preferred.
Experience: This position requires a minimum 10 years of relevant industrial construction management or project related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Extensive background in construction management activities, required.
10+ years of experience managing maintenance and construction craft labor.
Ability to adapt to a new industrial environment.
Effective communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences.
Ability to lead and/or take direction in a team environment.
Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Well organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.
Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hat.
