The Opportunity:

We are seeking to fill an Administrative Assistant role in our Lanett, AL facility. This new position will ensure multiple departments are assisted with administrative support. Reporting to the General Manager, the Administrative Assistant will support the Leadership team with special assignments, various reports, and back up other clerical or administrative roles, as needed. The Administrative Assistant will be required to perform any of the following work functions:

Provide general accounting support, order processing and closure

Serve as temporary back up of other roles as needed

Greeting visitors, answer and direct incoming phone calls, process mailroom items, assist with planning of business events. The main office is typically open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Support multiple departments with data entry, creating and running reports required for accurate recordkeeping.

Multitasking will be necessary in this role to accomplish the completion of daily and monthly responsibilities

What You Need to Succeed:

Associate\u2019s degree or equivalent Technical or professional certification preferred, or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficient computer skills (all MS Office, most importantly Excel and Microsoft Word) and ability to learn company specific software (JD Edwards/AVM, ASP400/BPCS/ELKE, etc.) with demonstrated ability in Excel to manipulate data in a spreadsheet to include sorting, formatting, formulas, pivot tables, etc.

Accounting experience is preferred

Autocad experience is preferred

Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal

Ability to solve issues creatively and quickly to minimize disruption to production

Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail

Provide a welcoming and positive experience for all visitors and guests.

Self-directed and motivated with ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Communication Skills - Communicate routinely with all levels of the WestRock team and coordinate activities between internal Smurfit Westrock departments.
