Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) in the MILITARY TRAINING DEPARTMENT at RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND. Responsibilities You will prepare, review, and edit various documents, evaluations, awards, and reports. You will answer inquiries on submission status and basic program procedures. You will utilize computer software systems and databases. You will maintain inventory, determine needs, and order office supplies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Communicating effectively, orally and in writing, to share information, correspondence, and reports summarizing issues to provide administrative support; 2) Utilizing a variety of software programs including word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, email, and database programs; 3) Maintaining records or files to keep them current, complete, and accurate; and 4) Handling sensitive materials in accordance with policy and procedures. This position requires the ability to @type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
