US - Sr Software Engineer

Our client, a leader in aerospace and safety-critical systems, is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join their team. As a Sr Software Engineer, you will be part of the Embedded Systems Development Department supporting navigation and safety-critical software projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong engagement, quick learning ability, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:

What's the Job?

Lead the full lifecycle development of embedded real-time safety-critical navigational software.

Translate requirements into software architecture and implementation, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Develop and optimize software for Mentor Graphics Nucleus real-time OS and low-level hardware drivers.

Implement sensor management, inertial measurement units (IMU), and positioning/ranging functionalities.

Coordinate integration, verification, validation, and factory deployment activities to ensure robust system performance.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.

7+ years of experience in software engineering using C/C++ in mission-critical environments.

Experience with Mentor Graphics Nucleus real-time OS, low-level drivers, and hardware bring-up.

Proficiency with tools such as BitBucket, Jira, and Visual Code.

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and configuration management practices.
