Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (COMPENSATION) in the SECRETARIAT HRO of the ASSTSECNAV M&RA WASHINGTON DC. Responsibilities You will serve as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution Application (SLDCADA) and the Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS). You will advise employees, supervisors, or managers on federal compensation policies and procedures (e.g., absence and leave, pay, overtime entitlements). You will resolve personnel pay issues to ensure employees receive correct pay and entitlements. You will formulate strategic approaches to pay and compensation management programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: advising customers on using an automated time and attendance system (i.e. SLDCADA); providing guidance on federal compensation (e.g., leave, pay, incentives, work schedules, entitlements, etc.); AND resolving pay issues with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: granting and managing access in an automated time and attendance system (i.e. SLDCADA); AND resolving pay issues with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR, 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR, LL.M., if related; OR, a combination of experience and graduate education that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
