Summary
You will serve as a PIPEFITTER TRAINING LEADER in the Production Resources Department (Code 900) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Duties
Help
You will prepare lesson plans and training materials, including visual aids, for the development of learning through classroom and on-the-job situations.
You will teach basic trade non-nuclear theory and practical work, including but not limited to the principles, concepts, terminology, processes and practices of the trade.
You will counsel employees on the day-to-day problems involving non-nuclear trade theory and trade practices.
You will maintain non-nuclear records and prepare reports of progress and performance of each trainee both in work experience onboard non-nuclear ships and in the shop.
You will ensure all scheduling and coordinating of practical non-nuclear work in the shop is accomplished as closely as possible with the progression of learning the elements of the trade theory.

You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
This position requires exposure to high noise levels.
