This position is for Parker Hannifin's Composite Sealing Systems Division, located in San Diego (Otay Mesa), California. The standard work hours are from Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The marketing and pricing intern will be responsible for supporting marketing and pricing initiatives in support of division growth and profitability goals. They will interact with many departments of the organization including, but not limited to: customer service, field sales, accounting, and engineering.
The internship is designed to be a full-time on-site position for the 2026 summer semester. The start and end date for the internship is flexible.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide functional support for CSS as part of the Sales/Marketing Team.
Participate in marketing projects including digital marketing initiatives, new customer identification, and new product developments in support of business objectives.
Work with the pricing team on data analysis and pricing projects to support divisional growth.
Conduct research and provide recommendations on marketing best practices.
Update and communicate division successes to internal teams to increase team awareness.
Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area.
Perform other duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, general business, or related field.
Incoming Junior or Senior Standing
Minimum of 3.0 GPA
Experience:
Manufacturing facility, preferred
Previous internship, preferred
Skills:
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
Ability to demonstrate strong customer service orientation.
Ability to apply innovative thinking toward problem resolution.
Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and manage organizational and time management tasks efficiently.

Ability to demonstrate willingness to learn and take initiative.
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and as part of a team as a self-starter.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time.
Ability to use hands and fingers for detailed work over extended periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency for extended periods of time.
Ability to wear required PPE throughout the entirety of the shift.

SALARY INFORMATION:
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $17.25 - $21.00 per hour.
