As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Providing network engineering expertise to the U.S Government supporting Akamai services and their implementations on Government networks.

Engineering, managing , and implementing Akamai equipment and capabilities supporting Government programs providng operational continuity between Government and Akamai.

Acting as Government's subject matter expert on Akamai technologies.

Traveling to global Department of Defense facilities.

Build network configurations.

Documenting networks and device inventory

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field or 10 years equivalent experience

Have 5 years of network engineering and programmatic experience

Possess solid understanding of IP networking including, routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, encapsulation, addressing protocols, VPN, MPLS

Have experience with enterprise networks and DoD's NIPRNet and SIPRNet

Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to build trusting relationships on a global team

Be well versed of network security principles and practices

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $92,900 - $193,100/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
