Responsibilities
Own the deployment and electrical integration of emerging datacenter technologies?(e.g., high-efficiency UPS systems, solid-state switchgear, Datacenter power distribution etc.) into new build designs and global reference architectures.
Design and implement innovative datacenter deployment processes using scalable design packages and technology roadmaps, while influencing design standards and construction specifications.
Lead pilot programs to define success criteria, test plans, and strategize measurement & verification (M&V), as well as execute site and lab pilots to validate performance, safety, maintainability, and operability.
Ensure new technologies are designed for operations, that they are serviceable, safe, reliable, and automatable, and create maintenance strategies, spares lists, isolation and switching concepts, redundancy schemes, and failure response playbooks.
Collaborate with architecture, electrical, controls, construction, commissioning, and operations teams from site selection through turnover to ensure requirements, interfaces, and sequences are correct and complete.
Develop functional performance test procedures and integrated systems testing for new technologies; support factory witness tests, site commissioning, and beneficial use/turnover activities.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, NFPA 70/70E, IEC); author method statements, safe work procedures, and emergency response scenarios.
