As a Sr Financial Analyst, you will drive business planning by analyzing large, complex datasets to identify trends, issues, and actionable insights. You will proactively surface variances, pinpoint root causes, and deliver clear, concise reports to management. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to support decision-making and optimize business outcomes.
Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a strategic, cross-functional process that aligns financial, operational, and commercial planning across the organization. IBP enables Medtronic to anticipate market trends, optimize resource allocation, and drive business performance by connecting data, insights, and teams. As part of the IBP team, you will help deliver actionable analysis and support decision-making that advances our mission and growth objectives.
Analyze and interpret large data sets to identify issues and business opportunities
Investigate variances and trends, providing timely and accurate reporting to leadership
Support integrated business planning processes with data-driven recommendations
Partner with functional stakeholders within the business unit (marketing, supply chain) in support of our market leading products, technologies, and services
Monitor and track key product performance, providing insights on sales trends, inventory levels, and downstream supply chain activities
Partner with commercial and operational teams to support downstream initiatives, including product launches, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization
Develop and maintain dashboards or reports to track key product metrics and downstream activities
Must Have: minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (or Master's Degree with 2+ years)
Proven experience in financial analysis supporting large amounts of data
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Nice to Have
Experience with other data tools, e.g. Power BI
Anaplan, SAP

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$85,600.00 - $128,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
