Job Title: Medical Office Assistant Job Description

As a valued member of the patient care team, you will assist providers and nursing staff with daily office duties in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Perform specific duties that support patient care

Take patient vitals

Conduct client intake

Room patients

Maintain accurate documentation

Essential Skills

Certified Medical Assistant with AAMA or ARMA

Medical Assistant Diploma

2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant

Proficiency in electronic health records and Epic systems

Strong communication skills

Flexibility in work schedule

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certification

Specialty experience

Understanding of medical terminology

Experience in healthcare settings

Work Environment

The position is based in an outpatient setting with a requirement to be available from 7 AM to 5:45 PM, working 37.5 hours per week. Normal hours are typically 8:30 AM to 5 PM, but flexibility is required. Work attire must be professional.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New Haven, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
