Job Title: AR Follow Up Representative - Medicare

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Work Environment: Large office setting, business casual

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented AR Follow Up Representative with strong experience in Medicare billing to join the team. This role will primarily focus on processing Medicare claims, with additional responsibilities for commercial payers as workload allows.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure timely resolution and collection of account balances using EPIC Patient Accounting software

Submit and transmit claims promptly, verifying acceptance for assigned accounts

Complete daily payment activity reports

Identify and escalate recurring issues that impact reimbursement

Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve claim-related issues

Perform general accounting transactions including adjustments, charge corrections, and payment transfers

Maintain and update denial reports and flags per department standards

Record complete and meaningful account documentation

Review and process correspondence related to assigned accounts

Transition accounts to patient liability once insurance processing is complete

Qualifications

2-3+ years of medical billing experience, with a strong emphasis on Medicare

Solid understanding of claim submission and denial processes

Experience with EPIC billing software is highly preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
